Camera & Exposure

Dynamic Range

The spread between the darkest and brightest values a camera can capture in one frame before shadows crush to black or highlights clip to white. Bigger sensors generally hold more range.

Interiors with windows are the classic dynamic-range torture test — which is why real estate invented bracketing.

Why it matters for your listings

Understanding range tells you when one shot will do and when you need brackets or a flash blend. That judgment is what separates shooters from button-pressers.
